In the context of its follow-up the scientific and academic progress of the students, the Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts (MCFA) at Al-Maaref University organised an induction day for the students of Fall 2017 at the university campus. The Faculty’s Dean Dr Ali El Takach and a number of instructors attended this meeting which aimed to identify the Faculty’s activities and to present the new students who talked about their journeys that led them to join Al-Maaref University.

During the meeting, the third year students talked about their professional placement resulted from training with media institutions, and they also talked about their experience in the course “Understanding Contemporary Issues”. 

The Facebook page operated by the Faculty’s students was handed over to a new group of students. The previous team talked to the Dean and to their colleagues about the mechanism of preparing inputs to the page whether these inputs relate to their program and activities or relate to the community in order to serve civil society. 

The students also discussed with Dr ElTakach the preparations of two competitions one aims to revive the cultural events and the second aims to select the best film about the university produced by the students.

The meeting concluded with a series of questions and queries.
