My educational journey began at the American University of Beirut, where I completed my undergraduate studies, obtaining a B.S. in Computer Science. I then ventured to England to further my education, earning an M.Sc. in Multimedia Technology and Systems from the prestigious University of Surrey.
My insatiable drive for knowledge led me to the University of Teesside, where I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science as part of the Human-Computer Interface Group. My research led to three international conference presentations, numerous publications, and a paper in the esteemed journal "Innovations in Education and Teaching International."
In 2004, I joined the Lebanese American University (LAU) as an assistant professor, where I excelled in teaching and even undertook the role of an IT consultant at the National Broadcasting Network (NBN) TV station.
In 2007, I embarked on a new chapter at the Gulf University for Science and Technology (GUST) in Kuwait, serving as a faculty member and later as the department chairman of Computer Science. My leadership and contributions played a pivotal role in GUST's academic success, earning the GUST university faculty research award twice in 2008 and 2011. I also played an integral role in supervising the IT department at GUST, empowering students to win several awards in robotics and programming competitions. My efforts helped maintain high enrollment levels in computer science compared to other institutions in Kuwait.
I’ve successfully completed several accreditation certifications. I hold an ABET IDEAL certification and an AACSB assessment certification.
After 6 successful years in Kuwait, I returned to my home country where I joined Al Maaref University as the chairman of Computer Science. I’ve recently been elevated to the dean of the faculty of sciences.
My technical prowess extends beyond academia. I have earned certifications in various fields, including cybersecurity, multimedia, human-computer interaction, and more. I was selected to deliver continuing education courses for prominent organizations such as Zain and Kuwait Oil Company in Kuwait.
In addition to his academic services, I have provided invaluable IT services to the community, including my role as an IT manager at NBN TV in Lebanon and as a consultant to GUST and Zain, in Kuwait. I have also developed and delivered business intelligence courses for Kuwait Oil Company.
As the chairman of the Computer Science department at Al Maaref University in Lebanon for 5 years, my leadership witnessed remarkable growth in student enrollment, exemplifying my ability to drive positive change. The department grew from 17 students to more than 600 students.
My journey is a testament to my unwavering commitment to education, research, and service to the community. My dedication to enhancing the field of computer science and human-computer interaction is matched only by my passion for excellence.
