You can expect us to:
- Welcome you at every point of reception, help you settle in the most effective way and provide clear signage to where you should proceed for completing your registration.
- Guiding you on how, when and where to register and enroll in your courses and program of study.
- Advise you with ample information about the means of making the most out of what we have to offer and what we expect of you.
- Introduce you to your advisor by the end of Week 3 or at any convenient and announced dates before the start of the semester.
- Give you a written guidance for your program of study and a Syllabus for each course
- Hold a series of events throughout the semester weeks to help you feel you belong to a supportive cohort and a member of the University community.
- Provide you with comprehensive and productive inductions and orientations that will contribute in allowing you to fit easily with the new learning environment.
- Introduce support and services for students who have disabilities or special needs.
- Make sure we meet our policy commitments on equal opportunities and treat all staff and students in a polite and mature way.
- Introduce you to an outline of the universities regulations.
We expect you to:
- Read all shared published guidance and materials so to get to know fully your program and comply with our regulations.
- Take part in all inductions and orientations and fully engage with the events the University and the Student Affairs Office.
- Enroll and undertake all the steps required to register your course(s).
- Ensure that the information held about you by the University is correct and up-to-date and amend as necessary when your details change.
- Talk to your Course Instructor or Advisor as soon as possible if you feel unhappy with your program or have any issues of concern that you may need to discuss.
- Let us know if you have any requirements that we can help with, including any disability
- Respect the facilities we provide for students including those for students with disabilities and special needs.
- Be sensible and take personal responsibility for your health and safety, as well as respecting all campus policies.
- Treat all staff (instructors as well as university services personnel) and students in a polite and mature way.
