BA in Teaching Physical and Health Education
This program prepares the student for teaching the physical skills required in educational curricula for students in the primary education stage in general and for students in the first three cycles in particular. Throughout the three preparatory years, the student acquires the competencies required for the profession of physical and health education.
These competencies include mastering the required skills in physical education curricula for the first and second cycles, planning teaching and learning processes, selecting suitable teaching and learning methods and activities, utilizing appropriate teaching aids and educational technology, and understanding the principles of growth and learning psychology. Additionally, they analyze and evaluate educational curricula, assess the outcomes of teaching and learning, and apply these outcomes for performance improvement. Furthermore, it involves wise interaction with learners, parents, and colleagues and adherence to the ethics of the teaching profession.
This program is learner-centered, with all activities, exercises, and applications related to the curriculum.
