BE in Civil Engineering
Civil Engineering is a broad field that encompasses the design and development of infrastructure projects. Civil engineers design, construct, and manage the entire process from development to evaluation of civil engineering projects (e.g., building, tower, bridge, dam, highway, or tunnel).
The Civil Engineering department at MU provides students with a combination of many scientific concentrations, including construction, geotechnics, hydraulic, transportation, materials mechanics, surveying and environment. MU Civil Engineering students learn to apply mathematics and scientific knowledge to real situations.
MU students are provided with an excellent foundation in Civil Engineering theories and applications. Students study courses in concrete and steel design, soil mechanics, transportation concepts, water resources, environmental studies, and construction management.
The Civil Engineering department is equipped with laboratories which are integrated with different courses to improve the skills of our students.
The Bachelor of Engineering degree program in Civil Engineering is accredited by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Upon graduation, our graduates are eligible to join the Order of Engineers and Architects in Lebanon and pursue further studies for Masters and Ph.D. degrees.
