Mission Statement:
The Faculty of Sciences (FoS) at Al Maaref University (MU) aims to offer a foundation in the fields of sciences, by providing a broad background in the fields of sciences at all levels and well preparing students for careers and graduate work. FoS’s strategic role is to deliver education in sciences and applications, engage students in scientific inquiry, and foster lifelong learning. This will lead students to explore and innovate concepts and theories.

Al Maaref University's Faculty of Sciences (FoS) aims to equip students with the competencies required for success in the Lebanese and regional job markets. We provide innovative education through dedicated instructors, utilizing the latest technologies and effective teaching methodologies. Our programs encompass basic and applied sciences, offering a comprehensive foundation supported by a highly qualified faculty. Graduates emerge as valuable community contributors, affecting positive change through technical, diagnostic and interpersonal skills.
In the contemporary scientific environment, graduates must possess a deep understanding of tools, techniques and knowledge to provide practical solutions. They must also be aware of the consequences of their decisions. Our programs are designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of current scientific theory and practice, enabling the acquisition of necessary competencies, professional conduct, and ethical standards.
Main Objectives:
- Students will demonstrate a broad basic knowledge of the applied sciences.
- Students will demonstrate a thorough understanding and competency in a specific discipline within the fields of sciences.
- Students will be able to communicate scientific ideas effectively in both oral and written formats.
- Students will be able to think critically. They will be able to evaluate, design, conduct, and quantitatively assess innovative research in a scientific discipline.
- Students will acquire the skills and knowledge needed for employment or advanced graduate studies or professional study in discipline-related areas.
