BS in Computer Science

The Computer Science major at MU is a three-year program. With bonds and shared courses with the Computer Engineering program, graduates are well-prepared for the software and hardware markets. Upon graduation, they can join the newly-formed Syndicate of Computer Sciences in Lebanon. Our programs meet global academic standards, led by certified professionals and international accreditation bodies, with ongoing ABET accreditation efforts. Alongside university general education and faculty-based courses, we offer 16 Computer Science courses with lab sessions. Our well-equipped computer lab fosters skill development with high-end Xeon workstations for enhanced speed and computing power.

Our program embraces cutting-edge computing innovations, instilling modern skills. In Web programming, we've replaced PHP with NODE technology, training students to create fast, robust, and scalable backend services hosted in the cloud.

In our mobile programming course, we leverage REACT and Flutter, building cross-platform apps. One program runs seamlessly on various devices.

Our modern computing program covers AI and machine learning, engaging students in game development and captivating them. Strong industry ties and expert instructors drive our success. We promote technical certifications, including the 'CISCO Academy,' with plans for Microsoft and Oracle academies. We offer international certifications: CCNA levels 1 and 2 in Networking and SQL Server Administration in Database courses. Our hands-on training covers database server installation and programming.
