This course aims to introduce students to principles of modern term research and subject-field research, terminological analysis in context, comparison of the principles of term formation in Arabic and English, verification and validation of terms, etc.

This course familiarizes students with state-of-the-art tools, computer aids, and translation software. It offers practical applications of terminology work including construction of terminology databases and management of those databases. Emphasis will be placed on three main topics: Corpus Generation, Website/Software Localization and Machine Translation.
