Inaugurated by Al Maaref University Vice President, Professor Jalal Jomaa, who stressed the importance of English and English instructors for having the first contact with new students, an English Development Day held on February 1, 2023 at MU was conducted by Mrs. Hanaa Jaber - a MEPLI- Harvard convener, Certified trainer and Consultant, in the presence of Intensive course instructors with the aim of empowering our university students and preparing them for real life and work place.

Mrs. Jaber departed from differentiating between a school student and adult learner to introduce strategies to be used at the university level. She resorted to research-based techniques to draw attention to factors that affect the concentration span of learners and stressed university-instructor readiness to respond to transformations. At the end of the event, Ms. Jaber assigned tasks to participants to benefit from each other’s experience and prepare for forthcoming workshops at MU.
