FBA Holds Workshop on Lebanese Labor Law for HRM Students

The Faculty of Business Administration at Al Maaref University organized, on Friday, May 20, 2022, a workshop for Human Resources Management (HRM) students at the university campus in Beirut under the title: “Introduction to the Lebanese Labor Law” delivered by Dr. Haissam Fadlallah.

The workshop discovered the most prominent principles and provisions of the Lebanese Labor Law, the classes that are subject to it, and those excluded from it. In addition, it sheds light on the procedures to formulate contracts, the required conditions, as well as the way and reason for terminating them.

The trainer explained in details the working hours and their distribution, the right to take a leave, and its different types; introducing the most important rights and duties of employees stipulated by the Lebanese Law, pointing to some constitutional jurisprudence in this regard.

Furthermore, the training included studying and discussing practical cases and exercises. It is worth noting that this workshop aims to develop students' practical skills and prepare them for the fast-changing labor market.
