FBA Lecture: Git and GitHub for Information Systems Students

The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Al Maaref University (MU) hosted software developer Mr. Adel Shamas in a lecture on the programs Git and GitHub on Monday, February 5, 2024. The event saw the participation of students from the Information Systems for Business department, along with the MIT department head, Dr. Kassem Danach. The lecture took place at the university's campus (Block C) in Beirut.

Targeting graduating students, specifically MIT’s senior project students. Mr. Shamas delivered a comprehensive presentation on both programs, drawing from his expertise in the field. He highlighted their significant roles in software development, aiming to assist students aspiring to launch their own projects in leveraging the benefits of these programs in the most effective ways possible.

This lecture helps students understand how these essential tools can simplify their work, enhance seamless collaboration among themselves and others, and elevate their project management strategies. It also deepens their understanding of the knowledge content by fostering interaction between students and experienced professionals, facilitating knowledge exchange, and contributing to their drive for more innovation.
