The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Al Maaref university hosted a Webinar entitled “Ethical Competence in Auditing”, presented by Chartered Accountant, and Audit, Accounting & Assurance Lecturer Mr. Raul David.

The one-hour webinar took place virtually on Thursday the 14th of October at 9:30 am Beirut time. Mr. David, presented an engaging and informative session in which he discussed the following:  The role of Ethics in Auditing, Importance of Professional Ethics, Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants, Ethical Decision Making, and Ethics and Artificial Intelligence.

The Webinar was attended by FBA’s faculty members and students who were given sufficient time to raise questions and queries related to the topic.

Raul David is an Auditing and Accounting Lecturer at Charles Darwin University, Australia. He is a member of the Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand, and CPA Philippines. Raul was for many years a Senior Manager in Audit and Advisory Business Services, performing statutory and non-statutory external audit, internal audit, SMSF, compliance audit, internal control reviews, corporate governance, and financial reporting.
