FBA Workshop: “Entrepreneurship and Startups”
Al Maaref University’s Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) organized a workshop for its students titled "Entrepreneurship and Startups." The workshop was conducted by Dr. Wissam El Khalil from the Accelerator Department at the Scientific Center for Manufacturing and Production. The event took place on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at the university campus (Building C) in Beirut, with the attendance of students and the faculty council.
At the start of the workshop, Dr. Bassam Hamdar, the Dean of the faculty, set the tone by delivering a speech. He emphasized the significance of entrepreneurship and various entrepreneurial activities. Dr. Hamdar encouraged students to think creatively, urging them to look beyond conventional approaches. He envisioned them as future entrepreneurs who would play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of the Lebanese economy.
Throughout the workshop, Dr. Khalil delved into key topics, aiding ambitious entrepreneurs in grasping startup strategies, fostering innovative ideas, and laying the groundwork for successful business ventures. The session sparked extensive interaction between students and the guest speaker, cultivating lively discussions and offering attendees fresh insights and practical advice.
It's noteworthy that the workshop drew attendance not just from the dean and students but also from esteemed faculty members. Among them were Dr. Ali El Dirani, Dr. Hassan Rkein, Dr. Kassem Danach, Dr. Ali Hammoud, Dr. Malak Ghandour, and Mr. Rabih Tarraf.
