Jean Kassis Shares Acting Experience with MCFA Students
Mass Communication and Fina Arts Faculty students at Al Maaref University had the amazing experience of meeting former President of the Lebanese Syndicate of Actors Jean Kassis when he visited campus on Thursday, November 11, 2021, to share his precious knowledge in the acting and performance industry.
The meeting was held as part of the Dramatic Writing for Television course in the presence of the course instructor, Shadi Zeidan.
Kassis, who himself was an actor, briefed the students on his experience in the lucrative world and various stages of theater, television, and film, highlighting the difficulties and challenges he faced throughout his career. The students then shared their thoughts regarding acting, directing, the industry, and the basic skills needed to make the grade.
At the end of the meeting, the actor presented his new book “Salah Tizani (Abu Salim) The Lebanese Dell'Arte” to Al Maaref University Library. On the sidelines of his visit, the former syndicate president met with the faculty dean, Dr. Ali Takash, discussing matters of common interest pertaining to students concerns.
