MCFA Hosts Dr. Jamal Wakim to Discuss Political Culture

The Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts at Al Maaref University hosted the academic and political analyst Dr. Jamal Wakim to deliver an interactive seminar discussing the political culture for media graduates.

In the seminar that took place in Al Maaref University campus on October 26, 2022 attention by a number of MCFA students and instructors, Dr. Wakim pointed to the characteristics of the graduates in the fields of mass communication and the necessity for them to grasp research skills and learning more than one language.

As he stated the most important challenges that face media graduates in Lebanon, Wakim touched on his scientific and professional career to draw inspiration from his long-term expertise. In this regard, he urged students to follow up current affairs on a daily basis and being brave since the work in media industry needs strong personalities.

On the other hand, Dr. Wakim pointed to the historical development of news editing, its mechanism and types.

Notably, this seminar comes in the context of delivering a series of Excellence and Creativity sessions that the Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts deliver to the students in Fall 2022-2023.
