MU Clubs organized 2 online meetings on March 24 and 25, 2021
In the first meeting, the speaker, Dr. Ahmad Majed, tackled the different ways of reading and how a daily contact with books develops the reader’s cognitive, social and moral skills. It shapes his personality and influences definitely his behavior and conception of the world.
In the second meeting, Mrs. Malak Sbeity, addressed the topic of woman’s rights and role in her family and in the society. Women are supposed to know these rights in order to apply them properly. At the same time, men are invited to understand these rights to facilitate women’s mission.
Mrs. Sbeity affirmed that, contrary to what most people think, Islam encourages women’s attendance to universities and work outside home. However, it gives a priority to their role as mothers and consequently as social leaders because each woman makes a difference and participates in building a peaceful and prosperous society through education and human ethics she inculcates to her children.
