MU Family Holds its Annual Iftar Ceremony - 2022
Al Maaref University held its annual Iftar Dinner at Al Saha Heritage Village in Beirut on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, corresponding to the 25th of Ramadan. The Iftar was attended by the President and the Board of Trustees members, the University's Council, and both the academic and administrative teams, as well as, in presence of the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Dr. Ali Hamie, and Dr. Abdullah Zayour.
At the outset, the President of the University, Dr. Ali Alaeddine greeted the attendees and hailed their efforts and keenness to provide the best quality of education despite the difficult circumstances and grave challenges that Lebanon has endured over the past years.
Dr. Alaeddine praised the success and the excellence of the MU students “who chose to pursue higher studies, as well as those who competed in the labor market with efficiency and competence.” In the context of the university’s development and growth, Dr. Alaeddine announced the licensing of the Faculty of Education, which will be added to the other five faculties of the university; furthermore, he announced the kick-off of the construction preparations for the University Campus project in Beirut on an area of 22,000-meter square.
Moreover, the president of Al Maaref University pointed out the urge for officials to observe and preserve both public and private higher education, taking into consideration if a collapse to occur affecting this sector; it sure will have catastrophic repercussions for years or even decades.
Conclusively, Dr. Alaeddine thanked the president and members of the Board of Trustees of Al Maaref University and its missionary academic and administrative teams for everything they offered towards the university’s success and progress, promising to harness all efforts for the university's utmost excellence and development.
