MU Organizes Its 3rd Mathematics IQ Challenge

Under the slogan of “Mathematics: The Secret behind Science Development”, the Faculty of Science at Al Maaref University organized its third mathematics and IQ challenge at the university campus, on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

The challenge was attended by more than one hundred students from the baccalaureate stage, both branches of general science and life science, from various public and private high schools in Lebanon.

The Mathematics Department’s coordinator at the university, Dr. Mohamad Ali Sammoury, announced the winners’ names on Thursday, March 24, 2022, via a live broadcast on the university’s official Facebook page.

The results were as follows:

First place: Ahmed Mohamed Dhayne from Al-Mustafa High School (Haret Hreik).
Second place: Maryam Shadi Salman from Al Batoul High School.
Third place: Muhammad Ali Hassan Nabhan from Al Mahdi High School (Al-Sharqiya).

The winning students were awarded scholarships of 100% for first place, 80% for second place, and 60% for third place.
