MU’s Clubs Holds a Seminar on Religious Concepts to Children
Al Maaref University's Al Raeda Club, aka the Pioneers Club for Females, held an educational seminar on teaching religious concepts for children on Monday, March 14, 2022, hosting the Director of Jamal Publishing House, Sheikh Ali Reda Subhani, at the university campus in Beirut.
After the student Fatima Baydoun introduced the seminar, the director of the publishing house elaborated on the basic curricula of education, including those based on material or eschatological benefits, as well as others on the monotheistic vision.
Sheikh Subhani touched on the necessity for parents to strive to help their children fill out their hearts with love and realize the mercy of Almighty Allah, rather than stuffing them with no more than information. The director of the publishing house pointed to the most important steps to follow a specific methodology in answering children's religious questions, including analyzing the origin of the question and the main issue behind it, throwing light on some methods of answering such doctrinal questions.
The seminar included a discussion part between the attendees and the host, whilst the student Zahraa Taha handled the interpretation task. This discussion provided an opportunity for students' parents to help them provide satisfactory answers to their children's religious questions, especially the knotty ones.
It is worth mentioning that Jamal Publishing House has published more than 140 books on the competence of teaching religious concepts to children in the Arabic language.
