MU’s Dr. Rkein Partake in MEACONF, Oxford; Presents Research Paper
Chairman of the Accounting Department at Al Maaref University, Dr. Hassan Rkein, participated in The 11th International Conference on Modern Research in Management, Economics, and Accounting which brought together hundreds of academics from around the world.
MEACONF took place virtually on the 18th – 20th of December in Oxford, the United Kingdom.
Dr. Rkein presented his research paper on “The Use of Financial Information: a Case of Ignorance from Lebanese Banks” during the Webinar. The research reviewed the objective of the General Purpose of Financial Reporting and questioned the implications of the qualitative characteristics of accounting information.
The paper aimed to eventually propose a simplified presentation of reporting entities’ financial information. The main driver behind it was the Lebanese banks Ponzi scheme, and why and how users of Banks’ financial Information failed to notice concerning and warning signs from disclosed financial information.
MEACONF aims yearly to bring together academia, researchers, and scholars to exchange information and share experiences and research results about all aspects of specialized and interdisciplinary fields.
