The Faculty of Engineering at Al Maaref University organized an advanced training course on Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing programs (CAD/CAM), in two levels, with the participation of a group of engineers and technicians from private companies and factories, as well as the Lebanese Army.

The training course was presented by the professional trainer, Dr. Elias Harika.

During the first level, which ran from July 12 to July 15, 2021, the trainees learned how to design mechanical parts via computer by using the "Solidworks" program. As for the second level, which ran from July 26 to July 28, 2021, the trainees were introduced to many computer-based manufacturing techniques.

The course focused mainly on modern manufacturing processes and the use of the ‘G-Code’ program. At the end, certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees.

This course comes in the context of the faculty's endeavor to contribute to community service and strengthen relations with specialized institutions and companies.
