The Student Affairs Directorate at Al Maaref University organized an orientation meeting for the first year students titled “My First University Year- How to Overcome Obstacles and Pass Successfully” on Wednesday 17-03-2021 6:30 p.m. via Google Meet.

The meeting, which was held with the University Counsellor Hussein Halawi, was divided into three parts. The first talked about the transition phase the student experience in their first year at the university. The second part defined the differences between high school, the university, and the importance of acquiring new skills in time management, prioritizing, mental maps, summarization, etc... The last part talked about university life and its psychological impact on the students especially in the current situation, and presented ways on how to cope with it.

At the end of each part, an open discussion gave the opportunity to the participants to have their issues and questions answered.‎
