MU Sports Club Launches Football, Basketball Tournaments

The Sports Club at Al Maaref University launched on Monday and Wednesday, November 8 and 10, 2021, a football tournament for males and a basketball tournament for female students with the participation of students from various faculties.

The tournaments were initiated with a friendly match that brought together students’ team against professors and academics team, where the professors’ team beat the students in football, and the female academic team beat the female students in basketball all branded under one flag, the MU.

The Female Sports Club had formed twenty basketball teams, while the Male Sports Club formed thirty football teams. Students competed in fifteen matches so far, in a competitive atmosphere bursting with enthusiasm and jubilation prior to the upcoming Student Clubs elections.

It is worth noting that the Student Affairs Office will announce the Student Clubs elections date after opening the door for registration and candidacy to elect heads, committees, and executive members of the subsequent clubs.
