MU Students Stand in Solidarity with Martyr Abu Akleh
Student clubs at MU organized a vigil in front of the University campus in Beirut to denounce the heinous crime that led to the martyrdom of the Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, while performing her journalistic work.
The solidarity stand, held on Thursday, May 12, 2022, included a speech delivered by the student Ali Wazne, in the name of MU students, in which he condemned the assassination of the journalist, "especially since she was wearing a press vest, which means that she was deliberately targeted by the Israeli enemy."
"The crimes committed over decades by the Israeli enemy; that doesn't distinguish between an old man or a child, a journalist or a soldier, women or men, reaffirm that standing with the Palestinian cause is a humanitarian and moral duty that cannot be abandoned," Wazne stressed.
In addition, the students raised banners with slogans of condemnation and solidarity with the sacrifices of the Palestinian people, calling for justice in the case of Martyr Abu Akleh.
