On Monday, January 4, 2021, the Department of Translation and Languages at Al-Maaref University organized a webinar entitled “A Journey of Real Passion: My Growth With and Through Languages”. Ms. Chadia Nohra, a translator and a university instructor, was the keynote speaker in the webinar, in the presence of the Chairperson of the Department, Ms. Zeinab Anis Jaber, translation instructors and students.

During the webinar, Ms. Nohra shared her experience in the fields of translation, interpretation and teaching with the attendees, stressing the importance of self-development through voracious reading in several languages to improve and enrich oneself's vocabulary and jargon.

The speaker also provided the students with some useful tips to benefit from during studying years before entering the job market.

The most remarkable of which were the need to be humble and accept constructive criticism in addition to the importance of working with professionalism and accuracy.
At the end, Ms. Nohra left a window for questions from the audience.
