The Faculties of Engineering and Sciences at Al Maaref University organized a seminar entitled "Innovation in Entrepreneurship", on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. It was presented by the Head of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Department in the Network for Transformation and Digital Governance in Lebanon, Mr. Rabih Baalbaki, in the presence of the Dean, Professor Jalal Jomaa, instructors and students from both faculties.

The seminar aimed to define the concept of entrepreneurship to the participants, the way it develops, the various sorts of projects and how to discern between them. It also shed light on the present local social projects and how important they are in terms of creating jobs, developing a self-sufficient economy, supporting the government's economic framework and attracting investors.

The seminar then discussed the most significant forms of entrepreneurship as well as the various personalities that characterize entrepreneurs, the roadmap for starting a business, and even the techniques and strategies employed to discover solutions to the present problems in order to achieve social and environmental sustainability.

Then Mr. Rabih Baalbaki explained how to start a specific project based on the meaning and types of innovation, as well as studying, analyzing and classifying consumer needs according to their importance.

The seminar concluded by offering some advice on how people might begin their entrepreneurial journeys and transform ideas into realistic, productive projects that contribute to the country’s progress and the development of its productive economy.
