Signing a Cooperation Protocol
Al-Maaref University signed a protocol of cooperation with the Islamic Center for Guidance and Higher Education (ICGHE) on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the University campus in Beirut. The Center was represented by the Head Manager, Ali Zalzale and a group of the administrative members representing different organizational functions. From the University, the President Prof. Ali Aladdin, the University President, the members of the University Council, and a group of academics and administration representation were present.
The University President welcomed the attendees, noting that “the signing of this agreement comes up as a normal consequence of having mutual interest to serve the students, guide them, protect them from loss and failure.” He added that “ the agreement ensures having the appropriate conditions for students’ academic achievement, success, and excellence. With this, there is a real contribution to the mastering life with science and wisdom”.
Moreover, Professor Aladdine said that “providing the best educational opportunity for our youth is a priority for us”, and “we feel it is our utmost responsibility to provide a distinguished university experience for them”. He further pointed out that “in the next stage, the university will work to complete the university's advancement and build partnerships with institutions of higher education in Lebanon and abroad”.
In his turn, Mr. Zalzale pointed out that the guidance and assistance of students is an urgent need, and that the Islamic Center for Guidance and Higher Education is playing this role as a pioneering organization in Lebanon, hoping that “MU will soon be able to produce sciences rather than just teaching them”.
One of the most important provisions of this agreement is to give priority to Al Maaref University students in obtaining student loans from the Center, providing them with training opportunities, as well as cooperating in holding conferences, seminars, and workshops of mutual interest.
At the end of the event, the university’s president gave a shield to the Head Manager of the Center as an appreciation for his efforts in serving students.
