FBA Honors 10 Accounting Students for Receiving CMA Scholarships
On November 6, 2018, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Al-Maaref University honored 10 students who received the Certified Management Accountant Scholarship (CMA) from the International Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) during a ceremony held at the university campus.
During his speech, Professor Hussein Hejase, the FBA Dean, congratulated the awarded students, and assured that the university has a full confidence in its students and academic staff. He added that the university will continue to work with them so that they can obtain the certificate, stressing on the importance and necessity of professional certificates for students in addition to their university degree.
Mr. Gaby Lahoud the IMA representative & President of Lebanon Chapter spoke about IMA's history, its global services and its pioneering role. The Certified Management Accountant Certificate is the gold standard of accreditation in the field of management accounting, one of the most important international certificates designed specifically for accounting, financial management and business management.
The ten awarded students are Zeina Al-Ahmar, Sanaa Chalhoub, Mohammad Dabaja, Hussein Rida, Heba Reslan, Farah Awada, Ali Hijazi, Hussein Barakat, Zeinab Issa and Ali Hammoud. They will enjoy many benefits, which include but not limited to:

Exam support package with retired exam questions and a glossary of terms.
Registration fees covering both parts of the exam.
Up to three years of IMA membership while pursuing the certification.
