FBA Welcomes Students for the New Academic Year

The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Al Maaref University organized a special seminar for the new students in the faculty on Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the university campus - the Main Hall.

The Faculty Dean, Prof. Hussin Hijazi and his Assistant Dean, Dr Ali Al Dirani, gave a talk about pivotal issues related to their new academic journey at Al Maaref University, particularly in the FBA. The seminar took place in the presence of the faculty member, Dr Hassan Rakeen and a group of existing and new registered students.

The seminar tackled three axes under the title: "Vision, Mission and Goals", "From Student to an Entrepreneurial Cadre " and "Open Dialogue". It opened with a short video about the activities of the Faculty in the previous academic year 2016-2017.

Following the video show, Dr Al Dirani welcomed the students and wished them all the success in their first academic year, pointing out to the significance of having a full understanding of the foundations of the educational process in the next three years of student development.

The Dean of Busines Administration, Professor Hussin Hejazi, delivered a comprehensive and engaging presentation about the academic cycle that the student is expected to undergo at the university. His explanation of the future vision and student paths was innovative, drawing the attention of the audiences to all the stages, positions and stations a student passes at both moments of stress and enthusiasm.

Worth to mention that Professor Hijazi shed light on many of the problems the student faces during the university study, considering that these born difficulties might be related to the psychological, mental and physical conditions. He is of the view that student should communicate more when his/her vision is not clear during the university academic journey.

In a related context, the seminar addressed all the services provided by the university and the faculty to prepare students academically, culturally and professionally to meet the needs of the labour market and how to deal with its congeries.

The seminar concluded with an open dialogue between the Dean and the students.
