Cutting-Edge Laboraties at MU
Al Maaref University organized a guided tour for students of the Faculty of Engineering (FoE) and Faculty of Sciences (FoS) to the new premises and their cutting-edge laboratories in the presence of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Acting Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Jalal Jomaa and his Academic team on Thursday, 2/11/2017.
At the start of the tour visit to the new premises and laboratories, the FoE Dean welcomed the new students on behalf of the University President and drew their attention to the significance of the visit and gathering. Such a meeting would be the first meeting with the students of the first batch of the two faculties at the University.
Dr. Jomaa pointed out that he “recognizes fully the challenges of the changes that students can face as a result of their transition from secondary to university”. He stressed on “the university's continuous readiness and efforts to help students of all walks of competencies to overcome the challenges of this transitional stage, and therefore enabling them to obtain the ‘know-how’ to transform this transition into a catalyst of confidence and progress.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr Jomaa took the opportunity of this tour-visit to provide the new students with information about the curriculum structure and process for the coming semesters, stressing on the importance of training programs for students of both faculties in the teaching and learning cycle that is endorsed by the University. He also assured the students that “the laboratories are equipped with the latest technologies that are supplied by European companies with a global reputation in the field of Engineering and Sciences education.
The meeting ended with a visit to the building of the faculties of the engineering and sciences, a few yards away from the main university building hosting three other faculties. These are the faculty of Business administration, faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts and the faculty of Religions and Humanities including the Translation and Languages Department.
