Honoring the winners of the golden prize at the Yana exhibition
On Thursday, December the 19th of 2019, Al-Raeda Club at Al Maaref University honored two students from Al-Batool (AS) High School: Zahraa Sorour and Zainab Abdel Sater, for receiving the golden prize at the “Yana” exhibition of innovations and new ideas in Germany, for the “Pesticides Alternatives and Effectiveness” project under the supervision of the teacher Nada Hammadi, in the presence of the Director of the Secondary School, Ms. Lutfia Mahdi, and a number of educators, students and parents.
After reciting the Noble Qur’an and welcoming the attendees, the Director of the Student Affairs Directorate, Dr. Hussein Nasser, delivered a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, blessing the winners and high school students this achievement. “We are proud of you and of your this achievement which raised the name of Lebanon high. “Thank you for this qualitative achievement, and thanks to the secondary administration of Al-Batoul for its administrative and educational staff and of its director Al-Haja Lutfia Mahdi for her fruitful efforts.” Dr. Nasser said.
Further, the secondary school screened a short video reviewing the preparation stages for the project to participate in the exhibition. Then, the high school and Mrs. Hammadi and the two students were honored. In her return, the director of the secondary school, Ms. Lutfia Mahdi, thanked the University for honoring and appreciating creativity and innovation.
Then, the winner team presented to the attendees the details of the project, the practical steps for it, how to prepare it, statistics and the final results. This honor comes within the framework of Al Maaref University's endeavor to be among the first in appreciating the people of energy and creators, since they form the foundation and core of society, and encouraging them for more excellence and distinction.
