Importance of Providing an Exceptional Model of Student Life
Under the sponsorship of Youth and Sports Minister, Mr. Mohamad Fneish, Al Maaref University launched five Students Clubs on Tuesday 25th April 2017.
The launched five Clubs were: Culture and Dialogue (Al Minbar), Sports Club, Reading Club (Noon), Social Services Club (Besmeh), and Female Students Club (Ra’edah).
The event launch of five Students Clubs took place among the presence of large numbers of stakeholders, notable community members, cultural, social and media representatives
The launching event involved a welcome speech from the Director of the Student Affairs, Mr. Hussein Nasser who confirmed that “the Student Affairs Directorate felt the obligation to launch the Students Clubs because of their importance in building the educational and social expertise among the students”. Along the same line, the Minister Mohamad Fneish clarified “ this gathering represents a significant evidence that the university in its second year of operation has practiced its role in the right direction”. He also considered that” the establishment of the University represents a huge challenge for those who are supervising and working in it to provide an exceptional and different model, and thus justifies its necessity and legitimacy”.
Minister Fneish mentioned that “ the launching of the students clubs confirms the awareness and preparedness of university staff, managers and employees, to get involved in the challenge of affirming the distinguishing character of the university and its students” and also pointing out that “ the students clubs activities are accounted as exceptional in terms of enabling students not only to receive information but also to live through the diversity of the students clubs the social issues and affairs and these are of great importance”.
Before the end of the event, all its attendees inaugurated the opening of the sports playground in the vicinity of the university campus.
