Participation in Tunisean Manouba University's Conference
Al Maaref University participated in the third international scientific conference of the universities of Iran, and the Arab world, called by the University of Manouba in Tunisia and the Symposium of the Union of Tunisian University Presidents and the Iranian Secretariat for International Cultural Dialogue. With the participation of Arab universities from Tunisia, Lebanon, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Syria and Iraq, the conference took place for two days from 11 to 12 November 2017 in Tunis and was hosted at the University of Manouba.
The conference had three axes of discussions. These were “The importance scientific cooperation between Iran and the Arab world”, “The challenges and opportunities of cooperation between Iran and the Arab World”, and “Incentivising Strategies of scientific production between Iran and the Arab world.”
The representative of Al Maaref University, Dr Talal Atrissi, delivered a speech in which he called for the formation of Arab and Iranian scientific research committees to study common problems and challenges such as poverty, unemployment, development, environment and counter foreign influence. In light of this cooperation, we can contribute in creating significantly a common knowledge and research space, producing theories that belong to our Arabic-Islamic culture.
On the sidelines of the conference, special meetings were held to discuss ways of cooperation between Al Maaref University, Manouba University and other Tunisian universities.
