MCFA Student Submit Their Final Project
The Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts at Al-Maaref University has celebrated this week the launch of its first graduation projects in the both majors: Radio and Television and Journalism and Digital Media.
In front of enthused audience represented by MCFA'S Dean Dr. Ali ElTakach, the course instructors, including the supervisors, the students' peers, friends and families, 17 students screened on Friday, 19th of October 2018, the production parts of their capstone projects.
In the major Radio and Television, the students screened their short films, pointing out the personal and social drivers for their research and production work, and in the major Journalism and Digital Media, the students displayed their websites, pointing to their names, links, structures, themes, and contents in light a range of Web Technologies from Web 2.0 to Web 4.0. .
The vast majority of the projects reflect the students’ competencies and acquired skills from all courses they finished successfully during their three years journey.
The interaction between the students and the audience was clear by asking questions and engaging in serious discussions about the final outcomes of their projects. It has been clearly observed the audience’s reaction through their continuous applause at the end of each project.
In the next day, on Saturday 20 October 2018, the students appeared before a jury represented by MCFA's members and the supervisors. In this Viva Voce, the students received comments from the jury in order to improve and ameliorate their projects in both dimensions; research and production work. It was a fruitful discussion that enabled the students to defend their works. The process of presentation and defense was succeeded by a self-reflection report written by every student and submitted on the following day.
