MU Discusses with Two Iranian Universities
At the invitation of Al-Mustafa International University, the Scientific and Academic Advisor of Al Maaref University, Dr. Talal Atrissi, participated in the conference of "The Qur'an and Human Sciences" that was held in the holy city of Qom on November 20, 2017. The conference attracted an audience of diversified scholars, researchers, and students of religious studies of different nationalities of whom are interested in fields of humanities.
On the sidelines of the conference, several meetings were held with researchers, thinkers, and instructors at Al-Mustapha University and other research institutions in Qom, to familiarize themselves with the experience of the Islamic Republic in dealing with the human sciences about issues of related to Islamization, critique, authorship, and teaching.
On December 4, 2017, at the invitation of the Imam Sadeq University, Dr. Atrissi gave a lecture on the methodology of dealing with Western humanities. The University of Imam Sadiq (AS) is a university specialized in the teaching of humanities exclusively.
During the visit, Dr. Atrissi agreed on future cooperation between Al-Ma'arif University on the one hand and Al-Mustapha University and Imam Al-Sadiq University on the other hand. The agreement would involve collaboration between the universities at the level of exchanging of visiting professors as well as participating in conferences and seminars of mutual interests. Special attention was given to the participatory role that these universities can have in the forthcoming international conference on "Ta'seel" human sciences that will be organized by Al Maaref University at the end of 2018.
