In a series of orientation meetings organized by the Department of Student Affairs at Al Maaref University in August 2017, the University hosted the first group of students on Wednesday to spend a university day with existing students who spoke about their experience in joining the Al Maaref family.

After a welcoming speech by the Director of the Student Affairs Department, Mr Hussein Nasser, and a guided speech by the Guidance Department, Ms Mirai El-Haj, instructing them on how to choose the appropriate university and university, the students took a friendly breakfast at the university cafeteria and then met the Faculty Deans and their Assistants to know more about the specifics of the majors offered for the candidates for the academic year 2017-2018. These meetings were helpful for students to have answers for all their burning questions about the syllabus, schedules, academic status, learning outcomes, facilities, university transfers and pathways and job market.

During their university tour, students had an opportunity to participate in educational activities organized by the faculties. Each activity represented an insightful opportunity for the students to have an experiential idea about some of the primary themes and method of delivery in the area of specialism.

The University Secretary General gave a synoptic speech about the MU’s student –centric approach for a digital world and gave a brief explanation of the University's digital advantages and the ability to harmonize modernity and originality through the use of modern pedagogy, in addition to the interactive relationship between teachers and students in the class.
