MU Participates in ISO PC 288 International Conference - Beirut
For five days long from 3rd to 7th July 2017, Al Maaref University, represented by the Vice President of Development and Quality Assurance, Assistant Dean of Business Administration and University Secretary General, participated proactively in an international meeting administered by the Lebanese Standards Institution-LIBNOR in Hilton Hotel - Beirut.
The aim of the ISO meeting is developing and refining the ISO- PC288 standardisation for the 'Educational organizations management systems requirements'. The one- week discussions from 3rd to 7th of July 2017 involved local and international interested parties in ISO standardisation from Lebanon Oman, Malta, Portugal, Mexico, and Korea, Germany, Romania, France Finland, Canada, France, Spain, and Japan.
The ISO PC 288 meeting took place in Hilton Metropolitan Hotel (Beirut) in light of the ISO 21001, a common management tool for oganizations providing educational products and services capable of meeting learner and other customer requirements and needs.
The ISO 21001 is an innovative quality assurance framework that focuses on implementing and sustaining a set of good practices of standardization of international outlook in relation to the interaction between an educational organization, the learner, customers and other relevant interested parties.
The five-day meeting was inaugurated under the patronage of HE Dr Hussein Hajj Hassan Minister of Industry and HE M. Marwan Hamadeh Minister of Education and Higher Education and administered by the Lebanese Standards Institution- LIBNOR and in collaboration with the International Organization for Standardisation- ISO. .
