MU Student Clubs Celebrate Prophet Birth with a Charitable Event

In light of the blessed birth commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the five student clubs at Al-Ma'arif University (Al Riyadah [Sports] Club, Al-Mutlaa [Reading] Club, Al-Hiwar [Dialogue] Club, Al-Raeda [Leadership] Club, Basma [Smile] Club) launched a charity fund-raising initiative on Thursday, December 21, 2017 (R), in cooperation with the Directorate of the Student Affairs and English Course Instructors.

The participants' feelings for this celebrational occasion were translated into the preparation of home-made dishes (breakfasts, lunches, snacks and sweets, etc.) as well as refurbishment of the event with dozens of second-hand cultural, literary and scientific books and winter clothes for-sale for different age groups.

The tables in "Al Baha", the event's vicinity, were distributed in perfect coordination among the students, who set up a list of "product" prices that they prepared at home with joy and high drive.

The banners were not free from the funniest phrases such as "Burning Prices", "Come Closer, take your pick of mouth-watering food". Altogether the mottos stimulated the move of the market forces, triggering more pushes and pulls of the effects of supply and demand.

Administrative and academic members of Al Maaref university participated in the one-day charity event including a bespoken journalist, Mrs Zeinab Awada, who praised the individual initiatives recommended by the Messenger of Mercy and the well-established nutritionist Malak Al-Khansa, who was keen to provide health and nutritional advice to students of all walks of academic disciplines.

The celebrational activity was a landmark in the student life of Al Maaref Univesity and was characterized by a vibrant atmosphere of amicability and hands-on-hands cooperation, whereby the teachings of the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (PBUH) were featuring in every activity for the day, and this, in turn, enhanced the self-initiative spirit and the help of others among the MU students.
