MU Welcomes USAL
On December 7, 2018, Al Maaref University received a delegation from the University of Science and Arts (USAL) in Beirut. The delegation was led by the President, Dr. Mohammad Reza Fadlallah, and included members of University Council, and Heads of Media Department and Computer Programming Department. The MU University President, Dr. Ali Alaeddine, members of the MU University Council and the Director of Public Relations and Media welcomed their visit and appreciated their initiative.
Dr. Ali Alaeddine greeted the delegation and thanked them for such a visit. He took this opportunity to present a brief exposition about Al Maaref University; its mission, goals, role, and aspirations in serving the society and nation as well as mastering life with wisdom and knowledge. The MU President as well stressed on that MU and USAL have common concerns to build a generation of young people who will be distinguished, scientifically and morally. He ended up his brief introductory speech with a desire for developing and enhancing coordination and cooperation between both universities.
In turn, the USAL President, Dr. Mohammad Reza Fadlallah, thanked the members of the Al Maaref University, particularly the MU President, for their warm hospitality, talking about the establishment of the USAL university, its mission and objectives, and the effort undertaken in the university to become one of the student's choice for excellence.
The delegation toured the laboratories of the MU’s Faculty of Engineering (FoE) and Faculty of Sciences (FoS), where the Vice President and Dean of the FoE, Dr. Jalal Jomaa, gave a detailed explanation about the up-to-date equipment and laboratories, pointing out to their technical and academic advantages that match with the international and leading standards in higher education.
In conclusion, after taking the commemorative photo, the President of Al Maaref University handed over a University Trophy to Dr. Mohammad Reza Fadlallah and then invited all participants for a buffet in honor of the visiting delegation.
