Professional Workshop on "Accounting Social Security"
As part of a series of specialized training workshops conducted by the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Al-Maaref University, in collaboration with the Scientific Association of Accounting and Business Administration (SAABA), The Accounting department at the faculty organized a special training workshop on Friday, June 29, 2018.
The workshop carried the title of "Accounting Social Security", and this comes following two workshops that were conducted earlier during the year on “Salaries and Wages Taxes” and “Chart of Accounts”.
The series of workshops aim to prepare third year accounting students for integration into the labor market efficiently, and they also allow for a smooth transition from the university to the professional world. The workshop was held on the campus of the University in Beirut, and was delivered by a member of the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants, Mr. Hassan Ftouni. He who is also an active member in the Scientific Association of Accounting and Business Administration.
Mr. Ftouni throughout the half day workshop elaborated on the social security system, the categories that are subject to their laws, the financing methods and applications, and approved adopted forms.
The workshop was an opportunity for students to carry out a practical application of all learned materials in their previous academic years. Those workshops assist students in building their own professional network by mixing with practitioners.
At the end of the workshop, participating students received a certificate of participation signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration at Al Maaref University, Professor Hussein Hejase and the President of the Scientific Association of Accounting and Business Administration, Mr. Hussein Nasser.
