Strategic Job Analysis
As part of its quest for excellence and uniqueness, and in preparation for the graduation of its first batch of certificate holders in the field of human resources management, the Faculty of Business Administration at Al Maaref University, in cooperation with Global Technology & Management Consultancy (GTMC), organized a training workshop for the major’s students titled as: " Strategic Job Analysis". Dr. Ghenwa Makdashi (DBA, PHR, GPHR) was the bespoken trainer in the two-day workshop.
The Faculty’s Dean, Prof. Hussein Hejase, opened the workshop by pointing out the critical role of the profession of HR in the job analysis that optimizes the selection of the best talents for businesses.
Over two days, the students were trained to carry out a full job analysis related to the objectives, vision, and mission of a specific institution to create a competitive differential value based on the contribution of human resources. As well, the workshop included an analysis of an application as a base for formulating a job description for employees of a company. The whole exercise was developed from the best practices, currently taking place in job analysis, is within the Lebanese labor market.
In this context, the Faculty’s Assistant Dean, Dr. Ali Al-Dirani, emphasized that “the human resources management major at Al-Maaref University is a competitive major at the BA level in Lebanon. The competitiveness can be demonstrated in the carefully selected courses and as well as the employment of highly qualified academic staff with extensive experience in the field of HR”. Besides, he pointed out that the Faculty has taken the responsibility to supplement the existing courses with training workshops on the latest competencies in the HR domain to prepare our graduates confidently to meet the challenges of the labor market.”
In turn, Dr. Makdashi, emphasized the importance of suchlike workshop as it represents “a practical application of the concepts and rules that are taught during previous semesters.” As well, she drew the attention that “the practical application exposes students to new skills that can be transposed and re-applied to the labor market.”
At the end of the workshop, Dr. Al-Dirani thanked Dr. Ghinwa Makdashi for her fruitful efforts and the students for their interaction and rich participation.
At the end of the workshop, students received Certificate of participation and had an opportunity to take collective and memorable photos with the Dr. Ghinwa and other members of the FBA faculty at Al Maaref University.
