The Philosophy of Ramadan
In the atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan and the birth of Imam Al-Hassan (PBUH), the faculty of Religions and Humanities at Al-Maaref university, organized a specialized webinar entitled: “The Philosophy of Ramadan, Reading in the Legislative and Moral Dimensions”, on Tuesday, May 12, presented by Sheikh Dr. Fadi Nasser, in the presence of the faculty’s dean, Professor Hadi Fadlallah and his assistant, Dr. Kamal Lezzaik, and a number of deans, professors and administrators and more than seventy students.
The webinar started with a Quranic recitation by the student Mahdi Shamouni, then the dean of the faculty, Professor Fadlallah, gave a welcoming speech to the participants, stressing on the importance of fasting and taking advantages of the moral atmosphere of this holy month.
Then Dr. Nasser gave a speech, in which he addressed the apparent legislative dimensions of fasting and the blessed month of Ramadan. Emphasis has been placed on the secrets of the Holy Month and how to take advantage of Al-Qadr nights and all worshipping acts related to these nights, Laylat al-Qadr, which is the conclusion of the inner and moral actions of man, leads to reach the level of closeness to God Almighty, And to be worthy of receiving the teachings of revelation and the Noble Qur’an and its true meanings.
The webinar was followed by a discussion between Sheikh Fadi and the participants Sheikh Fadi and the participants.
