Dr Kassir: Success Factors in Constructing TV Dialogue Programs
As part of a series of Friday lectures under the title of "A Session of Excellence and Creativity", the Faculty of Mass Communication and Fine Arts (MCFA) at Al Maaref University organized for its students on 20 October 2017 a seminar led by a prime media professional and an academic member of MCFA, Dr Ali Kassir about strategies of creating and conducting dialogue program. Such type of programs would inevitably represent a huge amount of media activities in students’ future career.
Dr Kassir had managed to engage the MCFA students in the construction of a political dialogue program in a TV show. He explained how to collect the media material, develop the axes of the story turns elaboration, and extract the declarative or positioning questions and arrange them according to the aforementioned axes.
As part of the innovative teaching adopted by the university, participants were given a wide space of interacting with the themes addressed and had managed to work on developing ten questions to conduct an interview with a political analyst. The students had noticed the sophisticated attributes that the interviewer should hold to run a dialogue program that could sustain the audiences’ interest all throughout the interview session.
