Visit to the National Museum

On Saturday, April 14, 2018, the students of the "History of Translation" course at the University of Al Maaref University visited the National Museum in Beirut, with the Head of Department, Ms. Zeinab Anis Jaber, in light of the event of "La Nuit des Musées" , organized by the Ministry of Culture annually.

The students toured the museum and observed its valuable artifacts from the Stone Age to the Ottoman Empire. They listened attentively to the significant historical information that the tour guide provided to visitors in three languages: Arabic, English, and French.

The aim of the visit was to consolidate the concepts discussed in the classroom at Al Maaref University, as well as to highlight the importance of looking at history as means of understanding the present and looking forward to the future, as the famous adage says: "Who has no history, has no Present to look for".
