The “Awwal” Center for Studies and Documentation held a panel discussion on "World Translation Day" under the title "Translation of Speech Paper" in the Antoine Library on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. 

Ms Zeinab Jaber, the Head of  Department of Translation and Languages at Al Maaref University had a central discussion about the translator and translation, stressing on the case that there is an absence of a unified translation policy in the Arab world and called for individual and institutional initiatives to develop a similar policy.

Ms Jaber drew the attention to a pivotal principle of "Translation is the beginning of every story”. She addressed the viewpoint that when “we speak of translation, it means that it can be in one language, such as the translation of feelings”. She had also expressed her awe about the interlinks taking place between ‘the seed, the paper, the apple tree and the relationship with the Creator’. She defended the idea that the translation could be considered one of the most important professions.Before it became having the translation function of human languages, the translation was the “translation of the divine revelation, and therefore the apostles are interpreters of revelation. "
