Designing CV and Preparing for Job Interviews
In the context of enhancing students' opportunity after graduation, the Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) at Al Maaref University organized, in collaboration with Mira.Cle s.a.r.l. Training & Consulting, a workshop, led by Coach Naeim Al-Zein on "Designing a CV and Preparing for Job Interviews" on Saturday, 12 May 2018.
In the first part of the workshop, students were trained on how to design CVs, taking notice of their main successful constituents with particular emphasis on the Cover Letter, typically required to be attached with the job application, and where the majority of the employers consider it a key significant indicator about the job candidates in the process of job short-listing.
Mr. Naeim shared with the workshop trainees a number of CV forms and templates in light of a variety of guidelines and settings. He went over several distinct biographies, compared them to similar ones that would be accounted as unsuccessful course, aiming with such comparison to enable students to learn the good practice in writing the CVs depending on requirements, functions and settings.
In the second part of the workshop, Mr. Naeim gave a detailed explanation of the most important types of job interviews and the various questions and approaches adopted by the employers. Such practical and comparative information about job interviews enabled the FBA students to have key insights about the grounds for preparing themselves for different types of interviews and question particularly those types of unexpected questions that are pivotal for the employers to sense the right candidates for advertised jobs.
During the workshop, the students also learned about the dress code that is recommended to be observed on the day of the interview and how to follow up the interview outcomes after the interview event and how to request for a feedback about the course of interview from the interviewer/institution.
The workshop was characterized by an engaging and highly interactive atmosphere between the coach and students who were able to raise their concerns about the current Lebanese labor market and the opportunities available in it, as well as how to excel in this field.
In the concluding the workshop, Certificates of participation were distributed to students, signed by the Faculty Dean, Prof. Hussin Hejase and Mira.Cle s.a.r.l. Training & Consulting.
